$400 per week or $3,000 for the whole session (8 weeks)
WE ARE A CLASSWALLET VENDOR!
MUSIC LAB: Once a month at Groundworks; every other Monday at school. Students will get to share music they enjoy and learn about different genres and styles of music. We also occasionally have a guest presenter. If a student plays an instrument, they are welcome to bring it to school to demonstrate and share it with the other students! Led by Logan Greene at Groundworks, and Desert Dragon Staff.
SEWING LAB: Opportunity to learn to sew and make things out of fabric. We will have sewing materials available including a sewing machine. Led by Annie.
REPTILE SCIENCE: Each week, learn about a different reptile! Led by Ryan Perry, member of the Tucson Herpetological Society and Desert Dragon’s Math tutor.
FUN SCIENCE: Hands-on exploration of science concepts led by Marea Jenness, experienced Science teacher.
SOCIAL SCIENCE: Exploration of history and social science concepts led by Scott Eichling, Desert Dragon Enrichment Coach and Social Science teacher.
BRAIN SCIENCE: Let’s learn how our brains work! Exploration of the parts of the brain and our own nervous systems. Led by Desert Dragon staff.
PE: Outdoor and indoor games to move your body! Led by Kami Blackhurst, Occupational Therapist with Kids Dot Calm, and Manny Gales, co-owner of Homeward Books and activities coordinator for adults with disabilities.
FOOD SCIENCE: Make food and learn about nutrition and chemistry in the process! Some projects we’re planning: popping boba, fruit gummies, trying exotic fruits and vegetables, cooking challenges, and more! Led by Annie
FILM ANALYSIS: Students will select films to watch from a list and learn the basics of analyzing film. Led by Scott Eichling, Desert Dragon Enrichment Coach and Social Science teacher.
ADVENTURE ART: Students get to work with materials available at our neighbors AdventureArt each Friday afternoon. Led by Nancy Yenquis Perez.
